AI Crypto News Research: A Prompt That Requests Evidence and Invalidation
News moves crypto fast, and AI summaries of news move faster than verification. A useful prompt separates what was reported from what the market did.
Short answer
An AI news-research prompt should name the headline and its primary source, ask for the publication time in UTC, require the market reaction measured on a named venue from a pre-news baseline (price, volume, funding, OI), and ask whether the move began before publication. It should request what would show the news is already priced in and what would show it isn't. Reject summaries that cite no primary source, mix rumours with confirmed reports, or describe a reaction without timestamps.
The prompt
| Part | Text to include |
|---|---|
| Event | 'Headline X; link the primary source (issuer, regulator, project).' |
| Timing | 'Publication time in UTC; did price move before it?' |
| Reaction | 'BTCUSDT perp on venue A: price, volume, OI, funding from T−60m to T+60m.' |
| Status | 'Confirmed, reported or rumour?' |
| Invalidation | 'What would show the reaction is fading?' |
Evidence to require
Red flags in the output
- Secondary reports only
- No timestamps
- Reaction described without baseline
- Rumour presented as fact
- Causation claimed for a move that began earlier
