AI Crypto Risk Planning: A Prompt That Requests Evidence and Invalidation
AI can do sizing arithmetic quickly. A good prompt gives it every input and asks it to show the calculation, so you can check it.
Short answer
An AI risk-planning prompt should give account size, risk per trade, entry, stop, fees per side, expected slippage, funding if held, leverage and margin mode, and existing correlated positions. Ask the agent to show each step: loss per unit, position size, notional, margin, approximate liquidation distance (and to say exchanges calculate it differently), total open risk including correlated positions, and what changes if the stop moves. It should not decide whether to take the trade.
The prompt
| Part | Text to include |
|---|---|
| Account | '$25,000, risk 0.75% per trade.' |
| Trade | 'ETH long 3,000, stop 2,925.' |
| Costs | '0.05% per side, 3 USDT slippage per ETH, funding 0.01%/8h, hold 1 day.' |
| Margin | 'Isolated, 5× leverage.' |
| Portfolio | 'Open: SOL long risking 0.75%; correlation group cap 1.5%.' |
Evidence to require
Red flags in the output
- Size without fees
- Leverage treated as risk
- Ignores correlated positions
- Liquidation price stated as exact
