ChartsPod Screener Formula Ranking: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis
ChartsPod's screener can use Formula Lab models in conditions. Ranking by a formula orders results, and the formula's scale decides who comes first.
Short answer
ChartsPod describes screen conditions built from price, volume, indicators, Formula Lab models or strategy signals. When results are ranked by a formula, check the formula's units (percent vs absolute), whether it's normalised across symbols, the bar it uses (closed or live), and how ties and blanks sort. An unnormalised formula ranks high-priced or high-volume coins first regardless of signal quality.
What it shows
ChartsPod's public pages list this tool.
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Formula value | Ranking key |
| Normalisation | Comparable across symbols? |
| Bar basis | Closed or live |
| Blanks | Sorted where? |
Settings to check first
Common first-session mistakes:
- Ranking by dollar change
- Blanks sorted to top
- Live-bar values in ranks
Worked example
Illustrative: ranking by 24h dollar change puts BTC first with +$900 (+1.5%) while a coin with +12% ranks 40th. Ranking by percent reverses the order.
