ChartsPod Time and Sales: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis
Time and sales — the tape — lists each trade with time, price, size and side. Filters and aggregation change what the tape shows.
Short answer
ChartsPod lists a tape among its order-flow tools. Check the venue, whether trades are shown individually or aggregated (venues often aggregate same-price fills), the size filter, the size unit and how aggressor side is coloured. A minimum-size filter hides small trades; that's useful for spotting large prints but hides the overall pace. Note the timestamp precision when comparing with other tools.
What it shows
ChartsPod's public pages list this tool.
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Time | Execution time |
| Price | Fill price |
| Size | Quantity (unit varies) |
| Side | Aggressor: buy or sell |
Settings to check first
Common first-session mistakes:
- Comparing tapes with different filters
- Reading aggregated prints as single orders
- Missing timezone
Worked example
Illustrative: with a 5 BTC filter the tape looks quiet; removing it shows hundreds of small sells per minute. The filter shaped the impression.
