DEX Screener Boost Data: History Limits - Avoid Silent Gaps

Boosts last 12–24 hours and then disappear from the boost endpoints. Without your own records, past boost activity is gone.

Short answer

DEX Screener boosts are temporary (12–24 hours). The boost endpoints show current boosts; past ones aren't available afterwards, and the schema for those endpoints wasn't reproduced in the reference reviewed. To analyse boosts against volume or price, poll regularly, store each boost record with first- and last-seen times, and log failed polls so a boost that started and ended during a gap is known to be possibly missed.

Where silent gaps come from

  • Boosts entirely within a polling gap
  • No first/last-seen times
  • Assuming the API gives start times
  • Merging separate boosts

Illustrative: six hours of failed polls could hide most of a 12-hour boost; the gap log keeps that uncertainty visible in analysis.

Sources and methodology

Limits come from DEX Screener's API reference, CoinGecko's onchain API documentation and Binance's Spot API documentation, read 17 October 2026. Where a limit isn't documented, this guide says so. Examples are illustrative.

  1. DEX Screener API reference — current-state endpoints; 60 requests/min on several; no history endpoint in the reference reviewed.
  2. DEX Screener: Boosting — paid visibility, not an endorsement.
