Solana Token Mint Data: Null vs Zero - Handle Missing Fields Correctly

On a Solana mint account, an empty authority field is not missing data. It is a security fact: nobody can mint more, or nobody can freeze accounts.

Short answer

A Solana token mint account records supply, decimals, mint authority and freeze authority. When mint authority is unset (null/none), no further tokens can be minted; when freeze authority is unset, token accounts can't be frozen by an authority. Those nulls are meaningful and usually reassuring. Supply is a raw integer to divide by 10^decimals; a supply of 0 is a real (empty) supply. Read authorities directly from the mint rather than from a third-party summary.
