AI Crypto Formula Research: How to Check Timestamps Before Trusting the Answer
A formula answer can be correct and still disagree with your chart, because its worked example used data from a different time or venue.
Short answer
Before trusting an AI formula answer, check that its worked example states the bar times and venue of the input data, whether the latest bar was closed, and the warm-up period used. Reproduce the example on the same bars: if values differ, compare times first (different candle boundaries or a live bar), then parameters. Reject worked examples with undated inputs.
Timestamps the answer must carry
| Value | Timestamp to require | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Input bars | Open/close times | Reproducibility |
| Venue | Named | Different prices |
| Last bar | Closed? | Live values move |
| Warm-up | Bars before first value | Recursive indicators |

Worked example
Illustrative: an EMA example didn't match the chart because the AI's bars ended an hour earlier. On the same bars, the formula was right.
