AI Crypto Risk Planning: How to Check Timestamps Before Trusting the Answer
AI risk plans quote prices, volatility and liquidation levels. Each comes from a moment; if those moments differ, the plan is internally inconsistent.
Short answer
Before trusting an AI risk plan, check that the entry price, the volatility measure (e.g. ATR), the funding rate and any liquidation estimate were all read at about the same time, and that each carries a timestamp. A stop sized from yesterday's ATR with today's price, or a liquidation estimate using an old mark price, misstates risk. Require one 'as of' time for the plan and reject plans whose inputs span hours of volatile trading.
Timestamps the answer must carry
| Value | Timestamp to require | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Entry / mark price | Read time | Base of every distance |
| ATR or volatility | Bar close time | Stop width |
| Funding | fundingTime or read time | Holding cost |
| Liquidation estimate | Mark price time | Safety margin |
Checks before trusting it
Worked example
Illustrative: the plan sized a stop from an ATR read before a 4% drop. Recomputed with the current bar, ATR is 30% higher and the plan's size is too large for its risk budget.
