AI Crypto Trend Research: Trace the Conclusion Back to the Tool Results
A trend label is a conclusion from indicator values. Tracing it back shows which values, from which bars, actually support it.
Short answer
To verify an AI trend conclusion, trace the definition's inputs to tool results: moving-average values with their bar times, closes relative to them, ADX or slope values, and the timeframe. Check that values come from closed bars, that the stated definition matches what was computed, and that multi-timeframe claims have calls for each timeframe. A label with no indicator values behind it is unsupported.
From claim to tool call
| Claim in the answer | Tool result that must support it | Check |
|---|---|---|
| 'Above 50-EMA' | EMA and close for the same bar | Closed bar? |
| 'ADX strong' | ADX value | Threshold stated |
| 'Daily and 4H agree' | Calls for both timeframes | Both present? |
| 'Trend for 3 weeks' | History covering 3 weeks | Duration |
Common mismatches
- EMA from a different timeframe
- Live-bar values
- Missing calls for one timeframe
- Duration longer than data
Worked trace
Illustrative: the answer asserted agreement on two timeframes but only fetched daily data. The 4H half of the conclusion had no support.
