ChartsPod Closed-Bar Delta Divergence: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis
A delta divergence on closed bars is the stable version of the signal. Settings decide which bars count and how the comparison is made.
Short answer
Closed-bar delta divergence compares price extremes with bar delta (or cumulative delta) using only completed bars: for example, a higher high in price with lower delta than the previous high's bar. Before analysis, check whether the comparison uses bar delta or CVD, the CVD reset, how swing points are defined (how many bars confirm a high), the venue and row-independent delta source, and that the live bar is excluded. Divergences flagged only on closed bars won't vanish, but still need price confirmation.

Worked example
Illustrative: on 15-minute bars, high 1's bar delta is +420 BTC; high 2's is +160 BTC. Both bars are closed and the swing is confirmed by the next bar. Only after price breaks the last higher low does the divergence become actionable under written rules.

ChartsPod lists footprint and cumulative delta among its order-flow tools (public pages, 17 October 2026). Its public documentation does not enumerate individual footprint view modes or settings, so this guide describes what each concept means and what to check in the terminal; control names may differ. Examples are illustrative.
