ChartsPod Swing Delta Divergence: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis
Swing delta divergence sums delta over each price swing rather than one bar. The swing definition becomes the most important setting.
Short answer
Swing delta divergence compares total delta over consecutive price swings (from swing low to swing high, for example) rather than single bars: a new high reached with less net buying than the previous upswing suggests weaker aggression. Before analysis, check how swings are defined (percentage, ATR multiple or bar count), whether delta is summed per swing or read from CVD at swing points, the venue, and that the current swing is incomplete until confirmed. Different swing rules give different divergences on the same data.
What it shows

Worked example
Illustrative: with swings defined as 1.5 × ATR moves, three upswings carry +1,250, +980 and +610 BTC of net buying while each makes a higher high. With a 3 × ATR swing rule, the second and third swings merge and the divergence disappears.
