ChartsPod Options Open Interest: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis
ChartsPod's options workspace lists chains, Greeks and exposure. OI views need expiry, unit and snapshot settings checked first.
Short answer
In an options OI view, check the expiry filter (one expiry or all), the unit (Deribit reports option OI in the underlying coin), calls vs puts separation, strike range and the snapshot time. OI aggregated across expiries hides where positions concentrate; OI in coins and USD tell different stories as price moves. Recheck after large expiries, when OI resets.
What it shows

| Element | Meaning |

| Expiry filter | One / all |
| Unit | Coins / USD |
| Calls vs puts | Split |
| Snapshot | Time |
Settings to check first
Common first-session mistakes:
- All expiries read as one
- Units mixed
- Stale snapshot after expiry
Worked example
Illustrative: a strike shows a large OI wall in the all-expiry view; filtering shows it's in a quarterly three months away, not this week's expiry. See Options Open Interest by Strike in Crypto: How to Read the Data With Price Context.
