GeckoTerminal for Order-Book History: What It Can and Cannot Cover

AMM pools don't have order books. GeckoTerminal can show pool reserves and trades over time, which is the onchain equivalent of depth.

Short answer

Automated market makers price swaps from pool reserves rather than resting orders, so there's no order-book history to show for most DEX pools. GeckoTerminal (CoinGecko onchain data) provides pool reserves in USD, trades and OHLCV, from which you can estimate depth (price impact at a given size) over time. Concentrated-liquidity pools have depth by price range, not exposed as a book in those endpoints. ChartsPod's L2 book and heatmap cover CEX and Hyperliquid markets.

Estimating depth

Store reserve_in_usd (nullable) over time and compute price impact at fixed sizes; that series is the closest analogue to depth history.
