Token FDV: Why Two Dashboards Can Show Different Values
Fully diluted valuation is price × total supply. Dashboards differ on both inputs — which pool sets the price and what counts as total supply.
Short answer
FDV = price × total (or max) supply. DEX Screener computes FDV from total supply minus burned supply times price; other sources may use max supply or exclude different amounts, and use prices from different pools or times. CoinGecko's fdv_usd can also be null. Before comparing FDVs, check the supply definition, burned or locked exclusions, the price source and the time of each reading.

Example
Illustrative: one dashboard used max supply (including unminted tokens) and showed $60M; another used total minus burned and showed $48M.

Why do FDVs differ?
Supply definitions and price sources.
How does DEX Screener compute FDV?
(Total − burned supply) × price.
Can FDV be null?
Yes, on some sources.
Sources and methodology
DEX Screener behaviour comes from its official documentation; pool and token concepts from CoinGecko, Uniswap, Raydium and Solana documentation, as read on 17 October 2026. Examples use illustrative numbers and do not refer to any real token. Nothing here is a recommendation to trade any token.
- DEX Screener: Token listing — listing after first liquidity and trade; supply inputs.
- CoinGecko onchain API: Top pools by token address (pool schema) — pool fields and nullability (fdv_usd, market_cap_usd, reserve_in_usd).
