Visible-Range Volume Nodes in Crypto: What Price Response Adds to the Reading

A visible-range profile changes with how far you zoom. Its nodes are only meaningful if the range is defined by a rule, not by the screen.

Short answer

A visible-range volume profile computes nodes over whatever bars are on screen, so zooming changes the nodes. For price-response studies, replace 'visible' with a fixed range (e.g. the last 500 bars or a dated swing) and record it. Then test nodes as with session profiles: time spent at HVNs, traverse speed at LVNs, compared with random levels.

Measuring the response

Define ranges by rule, compute nodes, and measure revisits; note the range with every node.

Example

Illustrative: zooming out moved the visible-range POC by 2%. With a fixed 500-bar range, nodes were stable and could be tested.
